Public safety
I will advocate for competitive compensation for our first responders and much needed support for their difficult jobs. I will promote the 3 P’s of community policing: Positive Interaction, Partnerships and Problem Solving by supporting UNIDOS, the Citizens Police Academy, National Night Out and other community programs.
Infrastructure/
maintenance
My top priority will be the renovation of our fire stations 3, 4, 5 and 6; I will push for much needed street repairs in Carrollton; Updating of city signage, adding more street lighting, and maintaining our green spaces and parks to promote our wonderful city and all the great things it has to offer.
Continue lowering property taxes
As a homeowner, I am pleased that our local taxes have decreased each year for the past seven years and I intend to continue this trend.
school districts and enrichment programs
I am passionate for the pursuit of higher education. This is important because successful students are more likely to be active members of our communities. Carrollton will directly benefit from the socio-economic impact of educated and skilled citizens which as a result, decreases the crime rate, and improves our standard of living. This starts as early as our daycares, preschools and early childhood centers.
Promoting cultural arts and performing arts
I will champion to expand the offering of cultural arts programs by recruiting prominent and reputable dance companies and artists to flourish here, teach here and grow here. Carrollton is a great place to live with many different cultures represented. We should celebrate our cultures and what makes us unique; we are all Carrollton.
